The MoneyVista financial expert panel includes qualified financial advisers, personal finance journalists and academics.

They've worked for financial services and financial advice firms, consumer organisations and personal finance publications. They are completely independent so will never try to sell you any financial products and will always give you well informed and useful guidance.

The experts

Melanie Tynan

Mel spent 14 years working at Which? as a Principal Money Researcher, writing and researching articles on all areas of personal finance. She works with Abigail and John writing guides, news and comment for MoneyVista as well as responding to customer queries. She's also studying for the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Abigail Montrose

Abigail has been a financial journalist for 20 years writing on all areas of personal finance for national newspapers, magazines and most recently as editor of 'Ask the Experts' in the Mail on Sunday. She is author of the FSA Redundancy Handbook and a financial capability trainer for the Citizens Advice Bureau. She writes guides, news and comment for MoneyVista as well as responding to customer questions.

Karen Savva

Karen is the Customer Service Manager at MoneyVista. She has worked in customer services for the last 16 years in both healthcare and financial services. Karen has worked in the Royal London group for the past 5 years and joined MoneyVista in November 2011 to build and develop the customer services team.

John Davies

John Davies

John splits his time between his duties as a member of the customer service and editorial teams answering customer questions and contributing blogs, news articles and guides to the site. John is working towards his Certificate in Financial Planning with the Chartered Insurance Institute. Before joining MoneyVista, John worked within the insurance industry for 3 years with Bright Grey in the plan administration and customer service teams.

Thomas Underwood

Thomas is the CRM Manager at MoneyVista. He works closely with Customer Services and the Editorial team to ensure customers are kept up to date with developments to the service and changes in the financial markets. Thomas has over 10 years' experience in customer communications and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Teresa Fritz

Teresa has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years as a financial adviser and personal finance journalist. Before joining the MoneyVista Panel Teresa worked for the consumer organisation Which? writing and researching money reports, and heading up the Which? Money Helpline. As well as acting as a MoneyVista expert, Teresa is also a serving member of the FSA Consumer Panel.

Jonquil Lowe

Jonquil splits her time between being a Lecturer in Personal Finance at The Open University and working as a freelance researcher and writer. She has authored over 25 books on personal finance. Jonquil works with the team to create money guides and to make sure that the MoneyVista service is accurate and up to date with all the right assumptions to underpin it.


Nick Edwards

Nick is a Fellow of the Institute of Financial Planning, a Certified Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a Chartered Financial Planner. Nick provides detailed technical understanding of both the financial planning process and products and services available to consumers.

Mike Naylor

Mike Naylor

Mike is an experienced freelance personal finance journalist, writer and broadcaster. He spent 9 years at Which? and Which? Money magazines writing about personal finance and has also written for newspapers, magazines and books. He has regularly appeared on TV and radio talking about everything from bank charges and credit cards, to car insurance and credit reference agencies. He has also worked for a bank and an online comparison site.
